Open your home and provide a room for a young person leaving care

Supported Lodgings

Offer a safe home to a young person

If you have a spare room, you could provide a safe and supportive home for a young person aged 18–25 as they take their next step into independent living.

  • Provide a safe, stable place to live
  • Help build confidence and essential life skills
  • Get training and ongoing support from our Dorset team

Submit a quick enquiry and request a call back from our team. We’ll talk you through how supported lodgings works and answer any questions.

If you’d prefer to speak to someone first, our enquiries team is happy to help.

Supported Lodgings can be combined with a busy career or home life

Providing Supported Lodgings can give you many of the same rewards as fostering, without the time-commitment of providing full time care. You will still have time for work, family and friends, and other activities that are important to you as the young person living with you will have a level of independence.
