We’re helping Dorset move towards electric vehicles (EVs). This will cut pollution and be better for residents, businesses, and visitors alike.
From 2030, no new petrol or diesel cars will be sold in the UK. By 2035, plug‑in hybrid cars (which use both fuel and batteries) will also stop being sold.
This change is already happening, and it means even more people will be driving electric cars in the future. To make sure Dorset is ready, we’re building the right charging network so drivers can feel confident about switching to EVs.
